Boohoo doubled sales growth in its latest quarter as the fashion etailer celebrated its most successful Black Friday period to date.

Boohoo’s group sales soared 100% across all geographic regions, driven largely by the strong growth of Pretty Little Thing.

Pretty Little Thing generated year-on-year sales growth of 191% to £73.8m. In the year to date, its sales have risen 232% to £146.4m.

The eponymous Boohoo business posted a quarterly sales rise of 25% to £142.5m. In the year to date, Boohoo sales totalled £324.4m.

The retailer reported “excellent progress” at  Nasty Gal, which recorded sales of £11.9m in the quarter. Year-to-date sales were £20.2m.

Boohoo increased its sales guidance for this year - it now expects growth of 90% versus 80% previously.

Joint chief executives Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane said: “The Black Friday period was our most successful ever and we traded well throughout the period. Boohoo has continued to perform well, delivering strong revenue growth on increasingly challenging comparatives last year.”
