Boohoo appoints McCabe to chair audit committee following slavery allegations

Boohoo Carol Kane and Maumud Kamani

Boohoo has appointed Shaun McCabe to its board as new audit committee chair following the modern slavery allegations made against the group earlier this year.

McCabe’s is one of two non-executive board appointments Boohoo is expected to make in line with the suggestions made in the Alison Levitt QC review of its supply chain in September.

The retailer has committed Levitt’s “agenda for change”, which includes a detailed audit of its supply chain in which the retailer must publish a list of all suppliers by the end of next year.
