House of Fraser has relaunched iconic British brand Biba.

The range launched in the department store chain’s Oxford Street store this week with model Daisy Lowe as the face of the brand, which includes womenswear, accessories and fine jewellery.

The department store, which bought the brand last November, has also launched a standalone Biba website called Mybiba.com. House of Fraser’s like-for-likes increase 8.4% over the six months to the end of July. Own-brands increased sales by 62% while online sales rose 150% during

the period.

Biba burst onto the fashion scene in 1964 with a store opened by founder Barbara Hulanicki in London’s Kensington. Its famous followers included The Beatles.
