US fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch is looking to double its UK store estate by the end of this year amid a ramped-up expansion strategy.
Abercrombie & Fitch is eyeing between eight and ten new stores by the end of 2025, which would double its UK high street portfolio that currently sits at a total of 10.
Having opened its highly-anticipated new store on London’s Oxford Street at the end of last month, the fashion retailer is planning a new opening on Kensington High Street next and is eyeing locations on high streets and in UK shopping centres, as first reported by Drapers.
The fashion retailer, which employs around 100 people at its London-based head office, is also looking at opportunities for its Hollister brand which currently has around 30 stores in the UK.
Internationally, Abercrombie & Fitch is also eyeing opportunities for new stores in Europe, particularly in Germany.
Abercrombie & Fitch managing director for the EMEA region Scott Clarke-Bryan also said there are opportunities for the business in the Middle East, where it currently has two stores in Kuwait, six in the United Arab Emirates, two in Qatar and four in Saudi Arabia.
Ahead of the opening on Oxford Street, which also followed an opening in Covent Garden last month, Clarke-Bryan said he was looking forward to the brand “connecting with both new and existing customers in 2025”.
