Jessops has reshuffled its senior management team as it focuses on service under chief executive Trevor Moore who joined in August.

Moore has brought in Chris Yates, who he worked with at Phones 4U, as retail operations director to replace Dominic Prendergast, who left the business just before Christmas.

Supply chain director Steve Pooley will also leave Jessops and his role will merge into the finance director’s.

Jessops chairman David Adams said: “This is a logical move on. Steve has done a great job on supply chain, with the stock availability the best it has been. Trevor also wanted to bring someone into the business he has worked with before.”

The camera specialist, which is completing its delisting from the London Stock Exchange, had a good Christmas and performed above last year, said Adams.

He added: “We have worked hard at the survival of the business and we are now focusing on key elements of service where there is still room for improvement. It is not about box shifting, but good service.”

Adams hopes to accelerate Jessops’ store refurbishment programme this year.
