Dixons Carphone has appointed two roles to help boost the electrical retailer’s digital transformation.
Dixons Carphone has poached Merlin Entertainments chief digital marketing and information officer Mark Allsop as its new chief digital officer. Allsop will start his new role in January and will report directly to chief executive Alex Baldock.
Allsop has been responsible for bringing together Merlin’s eCommerce and digital customer experiences and led global IT transformation programmes.
Alongside his appointment, Andy Gamble will be joining the business as chief information officer reporting to Allsop. Gamble has previously worked for Sony, Essentra and most recently as chief information officer at Dyson.
