AO has extended its partnership with CollectPlus to allow customers to pick-up AO goods from any of CollectPlus’s UK stores.

CollectPlus’s store-based delivery and returns service is available across 5,800 local convenience stores, newsagents, supermarkets and petrol stations in the UK.

Marking a departure from its traditional white goods offer, AO.com entered into the consumer tech category earlier this year with laptops, tablets, printers, monitors and accessories.

Its expanded click-and-collect proposition has been launched in time for the peak Christmas period, and is free for AO customers.

CollectPlus chief executive Neil Ashworth said: “AO shoppers really appreciate choice and convenience and the CollectPlus service has become an invaluable option for many, particularly those who cannot have items delivered to home or work.

“The added ease and accessibility of this new service will hold appeal amongst existing customers in addition to helping to encourage new customers to shop with AO.”

Last month, the etailer posted a surge in half-year profits and sales as gross margin gains and increased brand awareness bore fruit.
