Department store Debenhams has set up shop on etail giant eBay as it looks to build its online business.

Debenhams launched on the marketplace yesterday with 52,000 SKUs across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, toys and home.

Its eBay store sells items at both discount and full price.

The retailer joins rival House of Fraser and other retailers, including Superdry, Karen Millen and Littlewoods, on eBay.

Debenhams’ tie-up with eBay furthers its multichannel ambitions. The retailer, which experienced a 46.2% online sales jump in its financial year ending August 31, has made online a key pillar of its growth strategy and is aiming to achieve £600m online sales within three to five years.
