Dolland & Aitchinson staff in London Marathon

Opticians Dollond & Aitchison could benefit from sporting success following the champion performance of one of its staff at last week's London Marathon. The retailer may sponsor optician-turned-Olympian Tracey Morris, who, as the fastest British woman to cross the line, made her selection for the 2004 Olympic team inevitable. Morris, an optician at Dollond & Aitchison's Leeds store, was due back at work on Wednesday so no definite sponsorship plans have yet been made. Dollond & Aitchison chief executive Russell Hardy said: 'When this excitement calms down, we will certainly sit down with her and discuss ways in which we can support her in her bid to join the British Olympic team in Athens.'
