Retail entrepreneur John Kinnaird is to unveil a new-look store for his Dolcis footwear brand at the end of this month.

The store will open at the Silverburn shopping centre in Pollok, near Glasgow. The refreshed look will include a new logo, which is likely to be in lower-case letters. The store will also incorporate sleek black and white furnishings.

Dolcis managing director Paul Drake said: “Dolcis has not changed for 20 years and the new look will be dramatic. We are still finalising the details of the design and it is evolving all the time, but we’re looking forward to the opening.”

Dolcis has employed design consultancy 20/20 to develop its new look.

The footwear retailer was bought in December last year from Alexon by a consortium led by Kinnaird for£2.7 million. The deal was backed by Epic Private Equity.

Since buying the business, Kinnaird has changed its management team. Richard Bower joined in June from Priceless Shoes as buying director, to sit alongside finance director Richard Clark and Drake.

Dolcis has also relocated from the Alexon head office in Luton to Coventry.
