John Lewis ploughs £21m into Peterborough refurb

John Lewis store front

John Lewis & Partners is investing £21m in refurbishing its Peterborough store in the Queensgate shopping centre.

The refurbishment will see the entire 93,000 sq ft shop overhauled with improvements made to all departments alongside some additional new features.

The investment is part of a wider strategy to make John Lewis stores destinations that offer its customers “outstanding experiences” and products unique to John Lewis.

The new improved store will feature an experience desk that provides customers with concierge-style services including personal styling, home design and a nursery advice service.
