Ladies with a date for the races will be able to test the power of their heels at Debenhams’ Oxford Street store.
Debenhams has created its own in-store turfed mini paddock so customers can avoid the hazardous sink into the grass.
Debenhams’ test unsurprisingly showed four-inch stillettos sank the most, while wedged heels won with hardly any dip at all.
Unfortunately, the test won’t rid customers of that sinking feeling if their horse doesn’t win.
