Debenhams has unveiled an all-singing, all-dancing Christmas window display to raise the bar on Oxford Street this Yuletide.

The windows feature animated soft toys suspended by wires that move with the help of motors, in a traditional Christmas party scene.

Debenhams creative controller Mark Stevens said: “Debenhams felt that last year the windows on Oxford Street lacked the theatre and excitement usually associated with a traditional Christmas.”

The retailer took its inspiration from the department stores of Paris, using designers who have worked with stores including Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.
