Spending power falls further for low income households in July

The UK’s lowest-earning households were the only group to see spending power fall, according to the Asda Income Tracker. 

UK inflation rose to 2.9% in July, up from 2.6% in June, and energy inflation rose sharply to 4.6%, from 1.2% in June, following the latest reset of the Ofgem energy price cap.
