The retail weather forecast from Saturday November 16 to Friday November 22, 2019

The week last year

Colder temperatures set in for much of the week, warming later. Mostly dry throughout.

The week this year

The period will start off with continued solid comparisons as temperatures stay colder than last year and normal.

By the second half of the week, high pressure will build just to the west of Britain, pushing temperatures back to near or just slightly above last year and normal.

High pressure will also tend to block Atlantic depressions, leading to drier weather across the country, but the weekend and early week will still have lingering showers.

Mindset

The first half of the week will see strong demand for early winter products such as outerwear, heaters and knitwear, but this will fall back later in the week as temperatures become milder.
