The week last year

Warming again as the mercury hit 23°C in the South and 19°C in the North. Dry until late in the week when rain pushed in.

The week this year

The weekend will start with temperatures much warmer than last year but as the week progresses, temperatures will stay just above or near normal, which will be much cooler than the warm surge from last year.

England is expected to be mostly dry through the week.

Showers are likely early in the week across Northern Ireland and Scotland and then late across much of the UK.

Mindset

Warmer and drier conditions in southern regions will be good for footfall early on, while demand for autumn categories will improve in the second half of the week.
