Delivery trial shows three out of 10 retailers cut it fine or deliver late

The research also showed that most retailers charge more than £3.50, which is what consumers say is the highest price they would find acceptable for delivery

Aligning delivery times and options with consumer expectations has proved increasingly challenging and expensive for retailers. The UK’s ecommerce market leader, Amazon, continues to offer next-day delivery as standard on most items ordered by Prime members.
