Danish homewares retailer Tiger has signed for its first store in Wales in the St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff.

Tiger will join Yours Clothing, which will also make its Welsh debut, and footwear retailer Ecco in opening stores in the centre which is jointly owned by Intu and Land Securities.

All three stores are adjacent to each other, opposite the 116,000 sq ft Primark store which is due to open early summer 2014.

Yours Clothing will be the first plus size retailer at St David’s and has taken a 10 year lease on a 4,500 sq ft store. Tiger has also signed a 10 year lease on a 4,500 sq ft store.

Jonathan Ainsley of St David’s Partnership said: “We have a fantastically diverse range of retailers at St David’s and with the arrival of a flagship Primark store next summer, we wanted to attract the right mix of tenants to St David’s Way.

“Yours Clothing, Tiger and Ecco join an already exciting line up at this end of the centre, including Accessorise, Wallis, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Jones Bootmaker. We have now attracted over 60 firsts to Wales and are very proud that big brands such as The White Company and Bose, along with specialist retailers such as Blott and Clogau, have opened at St David’s this year.”

St David’s Partnership is represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and Cushman & Wakefield. Yours Clothing was advised by KLM, Tiger by Jones Lang LaSalle and Ecco by Harper Dennis Hobbs.
