Electricals e-tailer Dabs.com forecasts sales as high as£500 million by 2006, helped by a raft of strategic initiatives.
Speaking at the Javelin Group multichannel retailing conference last week, Dabs.com group commercial director Jonathan Wall outlined plans including a launch in France before Christmas, and opening a digital TV store on Sky.
The e-tailer also launched its new Web site last week after a£750,000 investment, and now offers a more personalised service for its 1 million registered customers.
Wall said this number would grow. 'We are starting to build our brand with a wider audience, not just the computer hobbyist,' he said. This will be helped by the opening of up to eight retail outlets - the first opened at Liverpool airport recently.
Wall forecast that Dabs.com will make a profit of£10 million on sales of£206 million for the year to end March 2004. Profit should grow to£25 million by the time Dabs hits£500 million sales in 2006.
