Retailer will only stock energy-efficient bulbs in future
The lights have gone out for incandescent light bulbs at Currys as the retailer bids farewell to high-energy luminescence. When the stock of incandescent bulbs is sold, it will not be replaced and shoppers will only be able to buy energy-efficient, long-life bulbs.

The announcement comes a day after Gordon Brown announced his intention to rid UK homes of incandescent light sources by the end of the decade.
