Crabtree to trial boutique store in Covent Garden

Beauty-to-fine foods retailer Crabtree & Evelyn is to trial a boutique format in Convent Garden, following the move to a more prominent spot.

The store will have a lifestyle theme, using occasional furniture to display product.

Crabtree & Evelyn design director Robin Anderson said the interior will have 'a bespoke look', combining contemporary materials with an English country feel.

Agents Michael Peddar & Co arranged the relocation from nearby James Street to the piazza. The new shop opens in September.

Crabtree & Evelyn, owned by Malaysian business KLK, has 40 standalone stores in the UK, as well as department store concessions.
