New network will link all of the group's businesses
The Co-operative Group has signed a£21 million communications and networking deal with BT to connect all of its businesses, including food retail, travel, pharmacy, funeral and farming operations.
The businesses presently use different networks, which were each developed under separate initiatives. The all-encompassing network will allow the retailer to work together more effectively, while taking advantage of economies of scale.
