Ciro co-founder to rejoin chain as buying chief

Ciro Citterio co-founder Kirit Thakrar is returning to the business as head of buying and merchandising, three years after the dispute that brought about the retailer's first collapse.

The menswear business was first placed into administration in March 2001, avoiding a£5 million settlement that was owed to Thakrar, brother of former managing director Rasik Thakrar.

The payout would have settled a long-running share dispute.

Ciro Citterio was placed into administration for a second time in September last year.

It was bought last month from turnaround specialist Hilco by suit manufacturer Anar, part of the Indorama Group of India.
