Ocado was the fastest-growing retailer once again as consumers showed growing appetite for festive shopping online

The NIQ read of Christmas trading dropped yesterday, with supermarket sales ticking up by 2.5% with that translating to a marginal drop in sales volumes (-0.2%), which is little surprise given the current rate of food inflation (4.2% in November, according to the ONS).
