Menswear retailer Charles Tyrwhitt will open a store on London’s Regent Street by the autumn.
The store, at 90 Regent Street, will cover 1,100 sq ft on the ground floor and 2,400 sq ft in the basement.
Charles Tyrwhitt replaces fashion brand Chemistry, which was on a temporary lease. The opening is part of the 13-store retailer’s plans to open up to 50 more shops in the next eight years. It opened in Bluewater last month.
Separately, premium lifestyle brand Gant will exit its store at 107 New Bond Street, London, in September when its lease expires. The retailer, which is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and has 17 stores in the UK, said its customers will be catered for through its Regent Street store, which opened in January.
Also, upmarket luggage retailer Mandarina Duck is to exit its only standalone UK store. It has sold the lease at 16 Conduit Street to
Chinese company Haichang Group, which is understood to be opening a new concept fashion store.
Cushman & Wakefield acted for Charles Tyrwhitt and Mandarina Duck. CB Richard Ellis acted for the landlord at 90 Regent Street.
