Upmarket health and beauty resort operatorpicks Palace Exchange for second high street shop

Upmarket health and beauty resort operator Champneys has selected the Palace Exchange shopping centre in Enfield, north London, for its second high street shop. The 2,790 sq ft (260 sq m) store will open next month.

Champneys has operated stores in its health resorts traditionally, but launched its first high street store in Chichester, west Sussex in November. Two further shops are planned for this year: for St Albans in Hertfordshire and Guildford in Surrey.

The two-level Enfield store will stock Champneys skincare and beauty ranges and Elemis spa and beauty products. It will also offer a spa facility and beauty treatment service.

The shop will be located at the main, pedestrianised entrance to the scheme, opposite Caffè Nero and fashion brand Sisley.

The 160,000 sq ft (14,865 sq m) Palace Exchange opened in February and is anchored by Next and TK Maxx. It is about 80 per cent let and includes retailers such as Topshop, Oasis, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Clarks, Muse, River Island and Jane Norman.

Property agencies Nash Bond and Chase & Partners are letting agents on the ING Real Estate Development UK scheme.
