CD Wow vows to cut prices after court judgement

Music e-tailer CD Wow is looking for ways to reduce its prices after being forced to raise them last week.

An out-of-court settlement reached with the British Phonographic Industry over sourcing means that the e-tailer will source from within the EU, rather than using parallel imports.

As a result, CD Wow has had to add a£2 surcharge for CDs sold in the UK and Ireland.

But co-founder Philip Robinson said that he aims to lower that surcharge by striking deals with suppliers in European countries, outside the UK, where product is 'generally less expensive'.
