Fashion and homewares retailer Cath Kidston has further strengthened its management team by hiring Levi’s senior vice-president of global supply chain Geert Peeters.

The appointment of Peeters as supply chain director came just days after former Mothercare finance director Neil Harrington’s appointment as chief financial officer.

Peeters will join Cath Kidston next month, replacing Brian Gaunt, who covered the role on an interim basis.

Cath Kidston chief executive Kenny Wilson, also formerly at Levi’s, said: “Geert is one of the most accomplished leaders I have ever worked with and I am certain he will bring a wealth of experience to our business.”

The retailer was acquired by TA Associates in 2010 in a deal worth £100m. Following the buyout, former Asda, Matalan and Somerfield boss Paul Mason was drafted in as chairman.

Wilson was appointed chief executive last October.
