Capital & Regional submits plans to extend Hull's St Andrews Quay

Capital & Regional and Morley Fund Management's Junction Partnership has lodged two planning applications to extend its site at St Andrews Quay in Hull, which was the first to be rebranded as The Junction.

The first application would see the demolition of the UCI cinema and Mega Bowl bowling alley, to be replaced with a 97,500 sq ft (9,000 sq m) terrace of five retail units and a health and fitness club.

The second application is for a high-quality residential development around the Fish Dock, comprising 264 units, including 214 apartments, 24 town houses and 26 homes in the converted Hydraulic Tower, Pump House and Globe Engineering Building. There will also be a convenience food store and restaurant building at the west end of the dock.

The public consultation process has started, and the city council is expected to consider the applications in October.

- Capital & Regional has released the first valuation figures for the Junction Fund, showing that over the seven months from January to July, the value of units in the fund rose 9.5 per cent. The total fund value now stands at£762 million.
