Standard Life Investments and Hammerson, joint owners of the 860,000 sq ft (79,895 sq m) Brent Cross shopping centre in north London, have signed three fashion retailers to replace First Sport, Laura Ashley and The Officers Club.

Hobbs has opened a 2,200 sq ft (205 sq m) store, while Fat Face has opened a 1,300 sq ft (120 sq m) unit. Monsoon Childrenswear will open an 860 sq ft (80 sq m) shop at the end of this month.

Monsoon Childrenswear is the third fascia the retailer has taken at the centre, rebranding its existing outlets to Accessorize and Monsoon Childrenswear, and adding a (6,460 sq ft) 600 sq m Monsoon shop.

Menswear retailer Base has also expanded its presence at Brent Cross, relocating to a 1,500 sq ft (140 sq m) unit.

Meanwhile, both Baby Gap and Body Shop have introduced concept stores at the centre. Baby Gap has launched its Worldwide Prototype store, while Body Shop has refitted its unit to reflect its latest concept shop, which is the second of its type in the UK.

With Wagamama replacing Ed’s Diner at the scheme, the landlords have introduced 32 retailers since 2000.
