Lingerie retailer Boux Avenue is to open its first out-of-town store in Scotland’s Silverburn shopping centre.

The 3,000 sq ft store will open in the Hammerson-owned shopping centre in December.

It is the first in a string of Boux Avenue stores planned across key locations in the country.

Theo Paphitis, who owns Boux Avenue and stationery chain Ryman, said: “The brand has already been extremely well received in Glasgow city centre, where we opened our first Scottish store 18 months ago, so now the time is right to continue our expansion in Scotland with Silverburn.”

Property consultant Briant Champion Long represented the retailer.

Hammerson leasing director of new business Sheila King said: “Boux Avenue is a significant addition to Silverburn’s consumer appeal, satisfying a large demand from the catchment for lingerie and complementing the existing fashion mix. Their arrival also reflects Silverburn’s dominant position in the region.”

Silverburn said the centre is delivering sales and footfall ahead of Scotland’s average levels.
