US bookseller plans Irish chain
US-owned bookseller Borders is to open its first store in the Republic of Ireland this autumn.

The first branch of the group's subsidiary Borders Ireland will be located in the West End Retail Park in Blanchardstown, 15 minutes from the centre of Dublin. The group is looking for further locations throughout Ireland.

The two-storey 20,000 sq ft (1,860 sq m) store will include a Paperchase concession and Starbucks Coffee store.

The Borders Group operates 50 stores outside the US, as well as 33 Books etc stores in the UK.
