Former B&Q director joins health & beauty retailer
Boots has appointed Mike Cutt as director of human resources. He will join on October 3 from DIY retailer B&Q, where he was HR director for five years. He has a lengthy career in this field, working for Kingfisher and building society Nationwide.
Cutt will report to Boots chief executive Richard Baker, who said: 'Mike Cutt brings with him a wealth of experience and is a passionate champion of people issues. He is well known in the HR world and will be a great addition to our team.'
The retailer is embroiled in selling its Boots Healthcare International division and a deal is expected to be completed at the end of this month. Analysts expect the retailer to achieve a sale at about£1.2 billion.
