Usdaw to voice concerns about KKR bid
Usdaw union representatives are to meet with senior directors at Alliance Boots to voice their concerns about Kohlberg Kravis Roberts' (KKR)£11.1 billion bid for the health and beauty giant.

At the meeting, scheduled for June 8, representatives will discuss the issues raised by Alliance Boots union members including long-term job security, pensions and the future of the company's share option scheme.

Usdaw general secretary John Hannett said: 'This meeting will allow Usdaw, as the biggest union representing their staff, the opportunity to pass on genuine concerns our members have about their long-term job security if the KKR bid for the company is successful.'

The union is also understood to be meeting with representatives from private equity company KKR in June.

Last month, Alliance Boots recommended an offer for the business from KKR and deputy chairman Stefano Pessina, in what will become Europe's biggest private equity buyout.
