Body Shop links stores with H-P

The Body Shop will use H-P Superdome servers to run an integrated IT system to link its 2,000 stores in 52 countries.

H-P will be responsible for migrating the retailer from various legacy systems onto a standardised architecture.

Body Shop sells a product every 0.4 seconds, which equates to 77 million transactions a year. By running a single system, it hopes to cut costs and boost performance, while leaving room for future growth.

Body Shop will use H-P OpenView management software to run the network.

Support SAP applications, desktop management and job scheduling will come from Altiris and Redwood Software.
