Electricals giant Best Buy has invested in mcommerce and launched a fully transactional mobile optimised site.
The site, which is quick to load, is one of the most impressive that a retailer has done to date.
The homepage, clean and sleek in design, has strong calls to action and a detailed list of areas to explore. What Best Buy has realised is that many customers use smartphones to research products before they buy. To make the most of this, the retailer has included a research area on the homepage. This includes ‘inspiration and advice’ by category, news, blogs and a community area. The mobile site even aggregates independent reviews from ReeVoo.
The product pages contain as much information as the customer could need, all hidden in expandable boxes, along with images, stock information and reviews.
The site is compatible with Apple and Android, as well as the majority of Blackberry and Windows phones.
