Bedeck to operate UK Sanderson brand

Bed-linen business Bedeck has bought the UK licence for the Sanderson brand for an undisclosed sum, and will assume control of its 40-outlet UK department store concessions' business.

From April, Bedeck will operate the concessions at House of Fraser, Debenhams and Selfridges. Where Bedeck operates a rival concession, the two brands will combine to form an enlarged section.

Bedeck director Andrew Irwin said: 'Adding the name of Sanderson to our portfolio of bed-linen brands is a major coup. Their shop-in-shop distribution added to our own gives us scale in concession retailing, and further consolidates this sector - making us a major player.'

Bedeck produces an eponymous linens range and an own-label, as well as bed linen under licence for French Connection and Designers Guild.

Bedeck will also take over the development, manufacture and global sourcing of Sanderson product. The two companies will work together as part of a long-term licensing arrangement.
