Build-A-Bear builds UK chain with Canterbury opening
Build-A-Bear Workshop is to open its fourth UK store in Whitefriars, Land Securities' new development in Canterbury, and it plans more openings in 2005. Currently Build-A-Bear Workshop operates over 170 stores in Canada, Denmark, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom and USA.

Build-A-Bear Workshop has signed a 10-year lease on a 1,877 sq ft (175 sq m) unit on Gravel Walk, adjacent to H. Samuel and opposite Tesco Metro. Land Securities Leasing Director John Grimes said rents in the best parts of the scheme are about£205 to£210 zone A.

To date, Build-A-Bear Workshop has opened stores in Meadowhall Centre, Sheffield and Centrale, Croydon and is due to open a third store in thecentre:mk, Milton Keynes a week prior to the launch of Canterbury.
