Retailer builds wind-powered hoarding
DIY retailer B&Q has become the first company in the UK to make advertising more environmentally friendly by erecting a wind-powered hoarding.

The 60 feet-long billboard outside Heathrow airport is a one-off and a result of B&Q's partnership with the Energy Saving Trust to promote today's Light Saver Day and to encourage more consumers to be energy efficient.

The wind turbine is used to power the lighting on the poster and B&Q hopes that it will 'grab the attention of the public and make them think about the possibilities of micro-generation of power'.
