E-tail giant hopes to reinforce fashion status
Asos unveiled its own fashion magazine today, taking on the lucrative world of fashion glossies.

The first issue of Asos, which features actress Mischa Barton on the cover, will be sent free to 100,000 customers after today's launch.

Thereafter, the 46-page monthly title will be sold online at Asos.com for£1.

The magazine will feature fashion advice, makeover ideas and clothes sold on the website. Asos chief executive Nick Robertson said: 'A magazine packed with the latest fashion news and trends is the perfect medium to reinforce our fashion credentials.'

If the magazine proves successful, the e-tailer - which boasts over a million registered users - will consider selling it on news-stands.
