In-store service launches in northeast
Supermarket chain Asda has launched its in-store estate agency service, called Homes@Supermarkets.

Shoppers will be able to put their house on the market and keep an eye on the local property market via in-store computer terminals.

If customers find a suitable property, they can enter their details and a representative will contact them to arrange a viewing. To sell a property, customers can type in their number and a member of staff will call them to arrange a valuation and take photos.

As an initial special offer, customers will be given£1,000 worth of Asda vouchers if they register to sell their home before July 31.

The scheme is being trialled in 10 stores in the northeast - Benton, Bishop Auckland, Boldon, Gateshead, Gosforth, Hartlepool, Middlesborough, South Shield, Stockton and Washington.
