Internal candidate to take up post
Asda customer and strategy director Angela Spindler (pictured) has been appointed managing director of the group's George clothing brand.

Asda chief executive Andy Bond said that he 'looked quite extensively outside as well as inside' the company to try to fill the role. He added that the decision to promote Spindler showed that there is 'some great talent inside Asda'.
