Visitors to Argos's online store will be able to find its nearest real-world outlet, thanks to a deal with Internet location-finding firm Multimap.
A store locator function is part of the Argos online service at www.argos.co.uk, called Click & Collect.
Shoppers can search for the nearest Argos store based on their post code, with the nearest 10 sites from the company's entire 530 being offered, as well as the outlet's relative distance in miles.
A detailed street-level map can also be displayed online to help shoppers locate their chosen store.
According to the retailer, the idea behind the Click & Collect location service is that users can check stock locations before they leave home.
Argos head of e-commerce Indira Thambiah said: 'We can now offer users immensely useful stock reservation and store finder services.'
