Dividing the location may be the only way of offloading the flagship store
Allders is understood to be in talks to sell its Oxford Street flagship store to a group of four retailers, which will divide it among themselves. According to a report in The Times, the group includes PC World and Dixons.

The Oxford Street site has failed to find a buyer, and is one of 10 other Allders stores in the same position. So far, 35 sites have received offers from interested parties thought to include Debenhams, Bhs and House of Fraser.

Allders is expected to continue trading on Oxford Street until the end of next month, having paid rent up to that date. If no buyer is found, the site will revert to landlord Redevco, the property arm of C&A, which occupied the building previously.
