Allders launches the first wave of a new crop of designer ranges

Allders launched the first wave of a new crop of designer ranges this week. A capsule womenswear collection from design duo Clements Ribeiro and a kidswear range by Edina Ronay entered selected stores on Monday and will be rolled out by the end of May. The group's ambition to become more fashion focused is bolstered by Studded, a diffusion line of trendy T-shirts and separates by London-based designer Gabby Harris. Allders chief executive Terry Green is banking on the new collections, which mimic the successful Designers at Debenhams strategy, to return the loss-making department store to profit this year.
