Luxury lingerie retailer Agent Provocateur has signed up online tracking company Mediaplex to manage its online marketing activity.

Mediaplex will work with Agent Provocateur’s digital marketing agency Blowfish Digital to track, manage and evaluate the success of the retailer’s various online marketing channels in the UK.

Channels include natural search engine listings, paid-for search engine listings and affiliate marketing activities.

Mediaplex has implemented its proprietary tracking technology on Agent Provocateur’s web site. This determines which third party site or affiliate has delivered customers to Agent Provocateur’s site.

The technology integrates and de-duplicates sales leads from the multiple marketing channels to allow for more accurate marketing return on investment calculations. Mediaplex says this will ensure Agent Provocateur can apportion and evaluate spend across its online marketing channels more efficiently.

Blowfish Digital also said it is crucial that it can work out where Agent Provocateur’s customers are coming from, so that it understands how various online marketing activities impact on each other.
