Customers of organic fruit and veg etailer Abel & Cole are truly another breed.
When one customer found a caterpillar while chopping a red pepper, rather than firing off a complaint email she decided to nurse the poor creature back to health.
She told the retailer’s online forum: “I put a bunch of your rocket in a jar and left it on the windowsill and wow what a transformation! Kat [as she named the caterpillar] has now grown ten times his body weight and I can’t wait to see what he turns into: a moth or a butterfly?”
Let’s hope the next person who finds a mouse in a retailer’s loaf of bread looks upon their discovery so kindly…
