Administrator to Clinton Cards Zolfo Cooper will close 122 stores by next Thursday, June 21, in the next stage of a 350-store closure programme.

It is the third tranche of locations to be revealed by the administrator The total number of Clinton Cards stores, including Birthdays shops, closed by then will total 209.

Last week, the rump Clinton Cards business, including 397 stores, was bought out of administration along by Lakeshore Lending, a subsidiary of the retailer’s largest creditor American Greetings.

The store closure programme began with the shutting of 44 stores last month and another 43 closed on June 8.

Zolfo Cooper said it continues to focus efforts on the remaining shops identified for closure and welcome expressions of interest for this part of the estate, as a whole or in part.
