Grocery distributor Foodstuffs reported its three regional co-operatives experienced a sales increase of 3.9% to NZ$7.98bn (£3.66bn) for the full year ending in February.

Foodstuffs Auckland said new markets and extensions to existing markets lifted sales. Foodstuffs South Island said all banner groups traded strongly despite. Foodstuffs Wellington claimed its sales figures had been compromised by store refurbishments during the year.
