Ebay general manager of fashion Miriam Lahage has left her role at the etailer for an unknown new role, which she will take up in June.

Lahage joined Ebay in September 2010 but is understood to have left last month when a new opportunity arose. She would not discuss her next step but said that she would start her new role in June.

Before joining Ebay Lahage worked as a consultant for Net-a-Porter and was previously chief executive of discount fashion etailer Koodos.com. Prior to that she was vice president of TJX Companies, which operates off-price fashion chain TK Maxx.

Ebay said it would not be hiring a direct replacement for Lahage, but that her responsibilities would be delegated.

The retailer added: “After helping to build a strong voice and presence for our eBay Fashion business in North America and Europe, Miriam Lahage has decided to focus her talent and energy on more entrepreneurial pursuits outside of eBay.

“With her fashion and retail expertise, Miriam has helped to lead the evolution of eBay’s fashion strategy and our business development activities with fashion brands and retail partners. We thank Miriam for her partnership and leadership, and wish her well in her next career move.”
